Highland Community Hospital's Emergency Department is one of the main gateways to the hospital. The Emergency Department is conveniently located on the west side of the hospital. Members of our medical staff treat individuals seeking acute medical care. Our professional healthcare team provides efficient and effective care for every type of illness, injury and trauma.

A nurse screens patients based on their clinical symptoms and needs. Whether emergent or non-urgent, patients are seen by competent, caring physicians to evaluate their specific needs and direct their personal plan of treatment.

As a member of the statewide trauma system and a partner of Forrest General Hospital, Highland is able to arrange for complex specialized care in an organized and timely manner.
